In February 2023, Pemangkin held a three-day workshop on Civic and Democratic Empowerment in Kuching.

The workshop for youths under 25, was to encourage awareness and critical thinking about social issues related to politics, citizen involvement and democracy in Malaysia.

The training modules included:

1. Introduction to key concepts of a democratic society;
2. Critical Perspectives on Democracy in Malaysia; and
3. Civil Society and Citizen Activism.

This workshop was jointly organized by Pemangkin, ROSE and MyCatalyz.
